Ms. Sandra Choi

Little Star Basics Preschool and Learning Center was established in 1996 in Santa Clara.

Having immigrated to the US with her family at age 10 from South Korea, where she attended the prestigious private school (중대 부속 초등학교), and becoming a follower of Jesus at an earlier age, Ms. Sandra values education and is gifted in teaching young children.

She believes that the early years are the most crucial stage in a child’s life, as they lay the foundation for how children see and interact with the world around them.

She holds a B.A. from UC Davis and a Master’s degree from Princeton Seminary, and Early Childhood Education credits from local colleges.

Word to Parents

Children psychologists’ note that by age 5, a child’s brain is already 90% developed. That’s why the early years are the most crucial and rapid time for the formation of millions of new neural connections for learning and growth.

Because children learn best through hands-on and trusting relationship experiences, we design age-appropriate activities and focus on building strong connections through consistency and unconditional love and acceptance.

Our biblical principle of truth, courage, hard work, self-control, and grace are the guiding appoach to teaching.
